Abstrakt

The liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) is based on principles of classic liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), but only small amounts of solvents are used. The volume of a solvent is usually less than 2 ml (the smallest volume is a droplet). The water sample volume varies in a wide range (from several millilitres to several litres). The use of the method for isolation and preconcentration is reviewed.
