Plasmids in Degradation of Xenobiotics in Gram-positive Bacteria

Abstrakt

The review surveys biodegradative plasmids that were found in Gram-positive bacteria. The metabolic pathways encoded by these plasmids are briefly described. Plasmid properties are compared with those of plasmids of Gram-negative bacteria. Included is also a comprehensive table listing all described plasmids along with some of their properties.
