Abstract

The ever-increasing number of patients who suffer from diabetes mellitus is a worldwide problem. Therefore, extensive study of insulin and its receptor has been of high priority in recent years. Particularly, a detailed knowledge of molecular structure and conformational changes of insulin along the metabolic path is very important. The paper shows some interesting features of the topic.
