Abstract

Natural conditions necessary for the artificially generated rainfall are presented. The mechanism of formation of cloud condensation nuclei is described. Air pollution and smoke can increase or decrease the cloud cover. The activity of various nuclei in warm and cold clouds is discussed. Future prospects of research in this field are predicted.
