Abstract

Coumarins occurring in plants are well known for their pharmacological activities as anticoagulants, fungicides and spasmolytics. The review deals with molecularly imprinted solid phase extraction coupled with HPLC applied to the determination of simple coumarins. The influence of analyte structure on sorption capacity was studied. The method is suitable for isolation and purification of coumarins.
