Karel Slavoj Amerling: "The Chemical Examination in a Dry and Wet Process" or a Way to the Beginning of Czech Analytical Chemistry

The first analytical chemistry handbook on qualitative analysis in Czech language is described. The handbook (two volumes, 1843 and 1844) as well as laboratory kits were compiled by a physician, Karel Slavoj Amerling (1807–1884) on the basis of Lampadius, Pfaff, Rose, and Berzelius books. Amerling created original Czech chemical terms for his handbook.
