Abstract

Baeyer-Villiger (B-V) biooxidations catalyzed by B-V monooxygenases have been studied because their products are precursors of important pharmaceuticals including antiviral, antifungal, antileukemic or anticancer drugs. Some improvement of biotransformation yields at lowest costs are investigated including immobilized B-V biocatalysts. This review contains the relevant information.
