Quantitative Chemiluminiscent Detection of Plant Peroxidases Using a Commercial Kit Originally Designed for Blotting Assays
Abstract
The paper describes an improvement of chemiluminescent analysis of plant peroxidases by the use of a commercial kit originally designed for qualitative Western blotting assays. The chemiluminescent method using the reagents of the Amersham ECL kit offers a good alternative to the well known and widely exploited colorimetric or chemiluminescent methods using luminol. The proposed procedure significantly improves the chemiluminescent enzyme assay with labour-consuming separate mixing of all components by application of standard and ready-to-use solutions.Downloads
